Happiness Is? In the Moment? December 11, 2008

So I have been sick in bed for the past four days. It started out as either food poisoning or a stomach virus and I am not going into graphic detail because No One wants to read that. It has ended with a raging headache which I am hoping is on the mend thanks to some meds from the Doc.  Now, oddly enough, I could actually work in bed as long as I didn’t move around too much or start coughing.  (Any serious movement made rockets shoot out of my head)  Today, while going through email and reading miscellaneous tweets and such I stumbled across a funny website – Today’s Big Thing - which just features a new video each day, sometimes funny, sometimes music, whatever.  But what I found that I really wanted to share was Where The Hell is Matt?  I cannot describe how happy this site made me feel – I’ve shared it with almost everyone I know (except for the impossibly grumpy!  smile).  Why do I like this site?  It make me happy… it makes me smile… it makes me laugh and tear up.  It is Joyous and Beautiful and Fun.  And the people in it look like they are having fun and are truly Truly Enjoying the Moment.  That’s what we don’t do often enough – just take a breath and enjoy the moment that we are In.  So – Take a moment, check out the video and tell me you didn’t smile Once!  ENJOY!!!

Movie Review – Transporter 3 December 1, 2008

I Love Movies so I think I will write the occasional Movie Review here on my blog.  So – my first review: Transporter 3.  Ok – this wasn’t a “smart” movie but if you are going to a Jason Statham movie for “smart” then we need to discuss the definition of smart. (smile)  Now – if you are looking for action, car chases, fight scenes – Guess What?  Right Place!  It was a good movie for the action and all that this type of movie has to offer.  The female character, Valentina (played by Natalya Rudakova), was, unfortunately, a bit of a caricature.  She was sassy but they went with too many stereotypes.  The story line wasn’t terrible – yes, there was a story line.   All in all, it wasn’t bad and was an entertaining way to spend an evening.
